So what is an Inukshuk? |

Inukshuk (pronounced in-uk-shook) found in northern Canada, are man sized piles of stone, and were used as directional markers, especially by the Inuits hunting caribou on the open tundra. The stones, stacked and balanced in the primitive form of a human, say, "You're not alone. You're on the right path". Inukshuk may well be an antidote for loneliness. The stone sculptures, a symbol of hope in barren places, can teach us about our connection with other humans and the earth we share.
This basic philosophy is the foundational building block of Inukshuk Technologies. These are
the ethical standards that Inukshuk Technologies
upholds as essential not only for its membership in
the Independent Computer Consultants Association
(Member # 23619), but the computer consulting
industry as a whole.
Inukshuk Technologies will be honest and not
knowingly misrepresent facts.
Inukshuk Technologies will install and use only
properly licensed software on their systems as well
as the client systems.
Inukshuk Technologies will divulge any potential
conflicts of interest prior to accepting the
contract or as soon as possible after the conflict
is discovered.
Inukshuk Technologies will only represent opinions
as independent if they are free from subordinated
judgment and there is no undisclosed interest in the
outcome of the client's decision.
Inukshuk Technologies will ensure that to the best
of their knowledge they can complete the project in
a professional manner both in terms of skills and
time.
Inukshuk Technologies will keep the client informed
of any matters relating to the contract even if the
information is unfavorable, or may jeopardize the
contract.
Inukshuk Technologies will safeguard any
confidential information or documents entrusted to
them and not divulge any confidential information
without the consent of the client.
Inukshuk Technologies will not take advantage of
proprietary information obtained from the client.
Inukshuk Technologies will not engage in contracts
that are in violation of the law or that might
reasonably be used by the client to violate the law.
ICCA member firms, such as Inukshuk Technologies,
their principals and employees will uphold the
principles of the ICCA and not commit acts
discreditable to the ICCA.
